New Headline: Penn State's Nittany Lions Stand Out by Producing Top-10 Draft Picks in NCAA!
The Penn State Nittany Lions are picking up predictions to land a commitment from 4-star QB Peter Bourque, one of the best passers in the 2027 class.
Matt Campbell has been working to get settled in his new position as the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions , and he's working to make some inroads on the recruiting trail. While the program doesn't yet have any commitments in the 2027 class, the Nittany Lions landed a pretty big prediction to start the week. According to Rivals' inside Steve Wiltfong , 4-star quarterback Peter Bourque is projected to commit to Penn State.
Bourque stands at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, and is rated by 247Sports as the No. 80 overall player in the 2027 class, and the No. 7 passer.
He is also the No. 1 rated player in the state of Michigan , and up until this point, has been projected to stay in-state and commit to the Wolverines. However, it appears that Campbell has been able to sway him, and there are now expectations for Bourque to find his way over to Happy Valley.
If Campbell ultimately is able to land Bourque, it would be a big win in his early recruiting days with Penn State. Getting a QB committed early in the cycle is often critical to landing other commitments, as he is able to help recruit his peers. We will see what takes place with Bourque's timeline over the coming weeks.
