Four Legends Bid Colt Farewell as New Champions Celebrate
Following the first wave of NFL free agency, here are three free agent options for the Colts to consider signing.
We are one week into the NFL's free agency period, and the Indianapolis Colts have been relatively active . GM Chris Ballard has re-signed several of his own pending free agents, while also making a handful of outside additions. The Colts remain positioned well with the salary cap to make more additions.
However, at this stage of free agency, options are limited when it comes to finding high-impact players. Despite the moves made already, there are still several roster holes that have to be addressed by Ballard. If we are going to continue to see the Colts add to their roster on Monday, here is one player who could fit what Indianapolis is looking for at key positions of need.
DE Jadeveon Clowney The pass rush depth behind Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker needs to be boosted. Clowney could come in and provide some added pass-rush juice to this position group. Clowney has recorded at least 40 pressures in each of the last two seasons.
LB Bobby Okereke A reunion with Okereke makes a lot of sense. The Colts are very short on experience at linebacker without Zaire Franklin. Currently, Jaylon Carlies is the most experienced player on the roster at this position with just over 200 career snaps.
