City 4-0 Real Madrid: Our greatest of all time? For many, it was the greatest team performance by a Manchester City team. Period.
There have been some wonderful displays by the Blues down the years, with our 4-3 victory to win the league at Newcastle in 1968, the improbable recovery against Gillingham in 1999 and the remarkable comeback against QPR in 2012 examples of stunning triumphs over adversity. The Spaniards, with 15 Champions League wins to their name, carry an aura with them that can unnerve even the most experienced and talented teams. But not Manchester City on 17 May 2023.
