Mandatory Credit: Brett Davis-Imagn Images | Brett Davis-Imagn Images There have been several changes to the Commanders roster since we published the last depth chart update a few days ago. Here’s a quick summary of the reported transactions that took place over the past week or so: Re-signed/extended QB Marcus Mariota – 1 year ($7m) LT Laremy Tunsil – 2 years ($30.

2m) LT Trent Scott – 1 year LG Chris Paul – 1 year Free agents signed from other teams These 12 players are highlighted in pink on the depth chart. EDGE Odafe Oweh – 4 yrs, $100m LB Leo Chenal – 3 yrs, $24. 75m CB Amik Robertson – 2 yrs, $16m DT Tim Settle – 3 yrs, $24m (2nd stint in Washington) EDGE K’Lavon Chaisson – 1 yr, $12m TE Chig Okonkwo – 3 yrs, up to $30m S Nick Cross – 2 yrs, up to $14m DE Charles Omenihu – 1 yr, up to $7m RB Rachaad White – 1 yr, $2m + incentives (up to $4m) WR Dyami Brown – 1 yr, up to $3m (2nd stint in Washington) WR Van Jefferson – 1 yr RB Jerome Ford – 1 yr The updated depth chart I have taken the approach on defense of listing 5 defensive line positions, 5 linebacker spots, and 5 defensive back positions to allow you to configure 3-man, 4-man and 5-man fronts in your own mind.

There’s some guesswork involved here, and some players (think Daron Payne) will line up in multiple positions, so I have just tried to make the defensive side of the ball make as much sense as I can while the team is in transition to an unclear scheme under Daronte Jones. The Commanders currently have 36 defensive players, 32 offensive players and 3 special teams players. Please note that assigned positions do not necessarily represent the thinking of Washington’s coaches or front office, nor are they necessarily consistent with fan consensus.

This chart represents my personal interpretation, and may not reflect the thoughts of other writers on Hogs Haven. Finally, when it comes to backup players, I don’t put much effort into making sure that they are on the right or left or behind the specific player that they backup. I mostly just try to fit everyone on the chart efficiently.
