According to a recent rumor, free agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs projects as a potential Kansas City Chiefs offseason signing | @EdEastonJr

The Kansas City Chiefs have taken much-needed steps in revamping their running backs room this offseason. They could add a longtime AFC rival to help bolster the wide receiver position. According to Mike Moraitis of The Sporting News , the Chiefs are possibly in the market for veteran free-agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

The polarizing receiver has been involved in many battles against the Chiefs over the years, especially during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills. "The Chiefs are another team that needs to add a wide receiver. Their group is currently headlined by Rashee Rice, who is facing more legal trouble, and Xavier Worthy, who is coming off a disappointing season and is considered unproven," wrote Moraitis .

Diggs was a key contributor for the New England Patriots last season during their run to Super Bowl LX. He was praised during the season by teammate Kayshon Boutte in an interview with Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. During the 2025 season, Diggs finished with 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.

He started all 17 games for the AFC Champion Patriots. The 32-year-old is still a threat on the field as he could call Kansas City home in 2026. This article originally appeared on Chiefs Wire: Chiefs' playoff rival rumored as a potential offseason signing
