Jedrick Wills Jr., Bears’ Pro Bowl star, shows off his genius in devising the perfect game plan for Ben Johnson!

New Bears offensive lineman Jedrick Wills Jr. expressed his thoughts on head coach Ben Johnson and his excitement to play for him.

The Chicago Bears added to their offensive line in the first days of free agency coming to a one-year deal with former Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. Wills has not played in the league since 2024, when he suffered a knee injury that spared his ligaments, for the most part, and required doctors to realign his knee and hips and forced him to miss the entire 2025 season. Wills will now come to Chicago with an opportunity to earn a starting spot at the left tackle position, where he'll be pitted against veteran Braxton Jones, who the team brought back on a one-year deal last week.

After signing with the Bears, Wills shared his thoughts on his new head coach Ben Johnson. "I know that Ben is an energetic coach," Wills said. "I know that he loves the big guys up front, which is a positive for me.

Yeah, the team did really good things last year. I mean they completely turned around this program, and they were balling out and it was really exciting to watch. Excited to be here.

" Chicago's left tackle spot has been a big question mark this offseason after rookie Ozzy Trapilo suffered a ruptured patellar tendon, which is going to force him to miss most of the 2026 season, creating an opportunity between Wills and Jones. The offensive line was one of the keys to Chicago's turnaround in Johnson's first season, showing a big decrease in sacks allowed from 68 in sacks on Caleb Williams in his rookie season, to just 24 last year with three new top linemen up front.
