During his chat with @EdEastonJr, Mitch Morse praised Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey's All-Pro success

This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke with retired Pro Bowl center Mitch Morse. In his interview with Easton Jr.

, Morse discussed his appreciation for the way Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey plays the game and his instant success in the NFL. "I feel like it would be easier to say what he doesn't do well, and I, because the list of what he does well is profound. He's brilliant when it comes to the big-picture understanding of defense.

He's extraordinary at hand placement, leverage, striking ability, working with him, working well with his guards, working well one-on-one. " said Morse, "I think the thing that people sleep on still is his ability to move in space, and not only move in space, but making contact on the on the move, when maybe your base isn't set, and still finding positions of power with hand placement or leverage or whatever, and having this drive, this physicality, and it's extraordinary to watch. " Humphrey was named a Pro Bowler and a first-team All-Pro again in 2025, earning a nomination for the inaugural Protector of the Year award at NFL Honors.

"When you first get guys in the league, they have a little bit of hype. It's the curmudgeon I need to be like, oh, we'll see. It took about two games, and it's been a snowball effect ever since.
