Last round's winner was Tuscaloosa County boys basketball's Ford Traweek, who won 76. 36% of the vote for scoring 23 points, grabbing nine rebounds and going 15-for-16 at the free-throw line in a 75-70 win over Dothan in the AHSAA Class 7A Final Four.
Nominees for Athlete of the Week come from our top performers list the week before. Any sport in the Tuscaloosa area can nominate for the top performers list and, in turn, our Athlete of the Week. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to nominate players to sports@tuscaloosanews.
