Cameron Young jumped from 16 th on the PGA Tour money list to first with his victory on March 15 at The Players Championship , Well, of course he did. Young earned $4. 5 million, golf’s biggest single-day paycheck, and went from $1,971,920 to $6,471,920.
He’s nearly $69,000 clear of No. 2 Jacob Bridgeman , who tied for fifth at The Players and earned $925,000. The Players purse ($25 million) is so big that four players earned more than $1 million.
Matt Fitzpatrick took home $2. 75 million for his runner-up finish (jumping to 7 th on the overall list), Xander Schauffele made $1. 725 million (moving to 11 th ) and Robert MacIntyre pocketed $1.
