The 2026 Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital Run for Home features a new course, race prizes and expanded family events April 11-12 in Tuscarawas County.
Preparations are underway for the 19th annual Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital Run for Home , an event that supports community fitness and raises funds for Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio. The Run for Home will take place April 11-12 and will feature events including a free kids’ run and a half-marathon, according to a community announcement. Proceeds will go toward construction of a new home in Tuscarawas County.
In the past 18 years, the Run for Home has generated $284,200 for Habitat projects in the area. Revised course, prize incentives Participants in the half-marathon and team relay will compete on a newly revised course designed to be less challenging, which organizers hope will lead to faster times. A $200 prize is offered for any first-place finisher who sets a new half-marathon record.
Megan O’Neil set the women’s record last year with a time of 1:17:18, while Nik Schweikart established the men’s record in 2011 with a time of 1:09:38. Additionally, a $500 prize is available for anyone who wins both the Sunday half-marathon and the Saturday 10K race. All participants who register for the 10K and the half-marathon will be automatically entered in the Second Sole Challenge, which includes special awards.
The half-marathon and team relay will start and finish at Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia, according to the announcement. The route will travel through New Philadelphia and Dover to Dover City Park, before returning through the Becker Creek neighborhood and passing Crater Stadium. Family events set The event will feature various running and walking activities for all ages.
