New Headline: Bulls Thrash Knicks 79-68, Staking Early Playoff Position!
Jersey Bulls remain unbeaten in 2026 after their 2-2 draw at Erith Town [BBC] Jersey Bulls boss Elliot Powell says he is proud of the way his side played in the face of adversity in their 2-2 draw at Erith Town. The point kept the islanders in fifth place, the final play-off spot in Isthmian League South East, as rivals Faversham Town and Sittingbourne both lost. But flight delays meant the Bulls had less time to prepare for the game, and they started slowly as James Dyer put the hosts 1-0 up after nine minutes.
Jamie Watling levelled just after the half-hour mark but Albie O'Mara-Knapp put the hosts in front shortly before the break. But Bulls, who were without a number of first-choice players including captain James Queree - as well as having some younger players unavailable due to the Under 21 Muratti with Guernsey - fought back well and top scorer Lorne Bickley secured a point 10 minutes into the second half. "We should be beating sides like Erith, but when you've had all of the unavailability we had, four lads out, the Under 21 Muratti means you can't bring in the normal lads that would step in either," Powell told BBC Radio Jersey.
"So credit to Max Corbett, he's not got on today, but he's helped us out massively, so it's obviously a difficult day for us availability-wise, but we've still found a way to be competitive at this level. "I think it's a good point, given the context, given the travel, given the unavailability, given the pitch, which is an absolute rotter as well. "I think we've done pretty well to get something and looking at the results how they're going so far it could be an important point for us because teams around us are losing, so it keeps the momentum going and that's the main thing.
" Bulls Women begin promotion push with win Jersey Bulls Women have yet to drop a point in their first season in English league football [Adi Topley/Jersey Bulls] Meanwhile, Jersey Bulls Women began their promotion push with an impressive 7-3 win at South Park. The game extended Bulls' winning run in South East Counties Women's Football League Surrey Division One to 12 wins from 12 games. Bulls had been unhappy with the decision to start all sides on zero points after the league was split into two halves, but they again showed their strength.
Goals from Anita Tavares, Leah Morris, Holly Sundby and Danielle Bradshaw saw the islanders lead 4-1 at the break. Top scorer Tavares hit three more goals in the second half as Jersey went top of their league after one game. They travel to Horley Town next week in their second match as they aim for promotion in their first season in English football.
