Cox/Getty Images) | Getty Images When the Notre Dame Football program decided to opt out of the bowl game after being screwed by the college football playoff committee, the columns and podcasts by Notre Dame haters went LUDICROUS SPEED and condemned the decision.
There was a large contingent of media members that decided to ignore the reasons why the Irish players decided to not play via a vote, and went for blood. So… what about the college basketball programs that decided to end the season. S even teams that did not make the NCAA Tournament have declined an invitation by the NIT to play in its postseason tournament.
Those programs are; Florida State, Oklahoma, Seton Hall, Indiana, San Diego State, Virginia Tech, and Belmont. Three of those programs (San Diego State, Oklahoma and Indiana) were in the final four out. DON’T THEY WANT TO SHOW THE COMMITTEE THEY MADE A MISTAKE?
WHERE’S THE PRIDE? Exactly. Meaningless games are meaningless games.
