Anthony's three-run homer against Mexico in pool play was the difference on Monday, helping Team USA prevail 5-3. During Sunday night's semifinal game against the Dominican Republic, he came up big again. With the score knotted at 1-1 in the top of the fourth, Anthony worked a full count against left-handed reliever Gregory Soto.
He unloaded on the payoff pitch , launching a 95 mph sinker over the center field wall for his second blast of the tournament. Not only did Anthony's blast travel 421 feet according to Statcast, but it was also his first homer off a sinker in his MLB career. ROMAN FOR USA!!!
