**Headline:** Wildcats Pummel Hurricanes 10-2 in Exciting Season Finale
Long Beach State pitcher Jason Gerfers allowed just four singles and two walks in a complete game 2-1 victory today, dealing visiting Hawaii its fifth loss in six Big West games. The Rainbows are 10-9 overall after their second one-run loss in a row at Blair Field in Long Beach, Calif. LBSU improved to 2-4 in conference and 6-13 overall.
Dylan Lina homered in his first plate appearance for the second game in a row to help the Dirtbags to an early lead. Hawaii tied it in the fourth on Elijah Ickes’ RBI single. Ben Zeigler-Namoa had two of UH’s four hits, including a single in the ninth.
UH starter Liam O’Brien allowed no hits other than Lina’s homer in four-plus innings, but walked five and hit a batter and was charged with both LBSU runs, and the loss. Hawaii moves on to a three-game set at UC Santa Barbara starting Friday.
