The Women's Basketball Invitation Field has been set on Sunday, March 15. It is the third year of the WBIT, which has replaced the WNIT as the second-tier women's basketball postseason tournament. The WBIT field includes any regular-season conference champion that did not make the Women's NCAA Tournament .
The first four teams left out of the NCAA Tournament get automatic bids and make up the top four seeds. The tournament can get started on March 19 and the championship game will be Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
