With misfits and no-names. With a few promising transfers, and a lot of rejects. Back in October, the USF Bulls were no one’s idea of a postseason contender.
Not coming off a losing season, and not after 13 consecutive seasons without making it to the big dance. That’s why Sunday’s 70-55 victory against Wichita State in Birmingham, Alabama, mattered. That’s why winning the American Conference Tournament and earning an automatic NCAA Tournament bid meant so much to everybody involved.
