But, there's still a shot, and ESPN college basketball analyst Seth Greenberg is calling it. Greenberg on Sunday picked the in-state rivals to meet for the national championship, with the Wolverines defeating the Spartans for the third — and most important — time this season.

Michigan and Michigan State are on opposite sides of the NCAA Tournament bracket, with the Wolverines the No. 1 seed in the Midwest , and Michigan State the No. 3 seed in the East .

Both open tournament play in Buffalo, New York, with the Wolverines awaiting a First Four game winner between UMBC and Howard, and the Spartans taking on No. 14 seed North Dakota State. Michigan won both regular-season meetings, 83-71 on Jan.
