2 seed, is hosting games Friday and Sunday. Also playing in Ann Arbor this week are No. 7 North Carolina State and No.
10 Tennessee. The No. 2 seed is the highest in program history.
That Michigan (25-6) earned a top-16 seed, which gives the Wolverines the right to host the first two rounds, was not surprising considering they are ranked No. 9. They have been ranked among the nation’s top 10 for the last 16 weeks.
