Oklahoma's MBB team did not make the 2026 NCAA Tournament

The Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball team has failed to make the 2026 NCAA Tournament . OU found out their fate on Sunday, as they were left off of the March Madness bracket again this year. Oklahoma finishes the season at 11th place in the SEC with a 7-11 record in conference, and with a 19-15 record overall.

If they choose to participate in the NIT, they'll know their opponent on Sunday night. OU has not had a winning league record for five years straight. In their most recent game, the Sooners lost to Arkansas by a score of 82-79, which obviously hurt their chances to make the tourney.

Guard Nigel Pack led OU in scoring with 19 points, while the Razorbacks were paced by guard Darius Acuff with 37 points. For the fourth time in five seasons under men's basketball coach Porter Moser, the Oklahoma program has again failed to make it on the bracket. Last year was the only time the Sooners have made the tournament under Moser's leadership, and he's still looking for his first win in March Madness at OU, despite being hired in 2021.

Oklahoma athletics director Roger Denny has already confirmed that Moser will return next year , as he settles into his new role, taking over for Joe Castiglione.
