The latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll is out and MSU finished the regular season just outside of the top ten
The last USA TODAY Sports of the Men's college basketball regular season dropped on Sunday, and despite a bad loss in their first Big Ten Tournament game, Michigan State basketball only fell a few spots and will finish the season just outside of the top ten at No. 11 in the country. The Spartans started the season ranked No.
21, so, even though the season ended with two frustrating losses heading into the NCAA Tournament, MSU still finished well above expectations, at least as far as the coaches who vote in these polls go. Michigan, with a loss to Purdue in the Big Ten Tournament final, will end the season as the highest-ranked Big Ten team at No. 3.
Illinois, also losing in their first Big Ten Tournament game, falls to No. 12. Purdue is up five spots to No.
13 after winning the Big Ten Tournament, and Nebraska is right behind them at 14. Wisconsin also finished the season with a ranking, coming in at No. 20.
