The Yankees did more roster trimming on Sunday.

TAMPA, Fla. — The highlight of Yankees infielder Braden Shewmake ’s spring training came in the eighth inning of Saturday’s 6-4 loss to the Phillies. Also cut was utility players Marco Luciano and Ernesto Martinez Jr. ; outfielders Duke Ellis and Yanquiel Fernandez; infielders Jonathan Ornelas and Zack Short; and catcher Miguel Palma.
