Oilers make brutal Tristan Jarry, Connor Ingram goalie decision after trade originally appeared on The Sporting News . Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here . This wasn't supposed to work out like this for the Edmonton Oilers and Tristan Jarry.
When they traded for him from the Pittsburgh Penguins earlier in the season, Jarry was meant to solve their goaltending woes. Instead, he's only added to them. That has led to a benching for Jarry.
TSN's Ryan Rishaug reported Sunday that Connor Ingram will be the Oilers' starting goalie from here on out and be given starts accordingly. The Oilers had to do something, and this is the move. Jarry did miss time with an injury already in his Edmonton tenure, but on the ice, he's been brutal.
