“Sources: Tight end Dallas Goedert reached agreement today on a one-year deal to return to the Eagles for his ninth season in Philadelphia,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on X/Twitter. Unsurprisingly, Dallas’s signing came with a straightforward update on a potential A. J.
Brown trade, considering the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo recently reported that the futures of Goedert and Brown are ‘interconnected’. “Even though the Eagles now are bringing back tight end Dallas Goedert, there are no new developments regarding the status of wide receiver AJ Brown,” Schefter stated. Fans should no longer expect a trade to happen soon, as The Athletic’s Dianna Russini’s Friday evening report indicated the Eagles aren’t trading Brown at this time.
