Wide Receiver’s Blunder Misses Eagles’ Chance for Victory Away
Per report, the Eagles set their sights on Darnell Mooney but ultimately failed to acquire him.
The Philadelphia Eagles have already seen their wide receiver room take a hit this offseason, and it appears they were unable to land one of the players they hoped might help them stabilize the position. As the new league year approached, we learned, during legal tampering, that they would lose their third wide receiver on the depth chart. Jahan Dotson has signed with the Atlanta Falcons.
His departure created an obvious need for reinforcements behind the team's top playmakers. Adding to that uncertainty is the trading speculation surrounding star receiver A. J.
Brown. Dianna Russini has reported that trade talks will stall for now , adding to conflicting reports about whether a move is truly coming. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has suggested that a trade may ultimately be "inevitable" .
With that level of uncertainty hanging over the position group, it would make sense for the Eagles' front office to explore additional options at wide receiver. We can now scratch at least one name off the list. Eagles miss out on an opportunity to add Darnell Mooney.
