Elite FSU’s Rampant Spring Practice Success Fuels Rivalry Excitement!
Florida State had 2027 three-star athlete Marquis Fennell on campus for spring practice on Friday, and he set a Legacy Weekend visit for his return.
The FSU Seminoles have targeted three-star athlete Marquis Fennell in the 2027 cycle. He attended a Junior Day event in January, and on Friday, he was back for a padded spring practice. When asked what he came to Tallahassee to see, Fennell was very direct with his answer.
"See how they're coming this upcoming year and how Coach Norvell is fixing to set up a successful season," Fennell said per Noles247's Chris Nee . This isn't surprising considering that Florida State has posted a 7-17 record over the past two years. Getting back to their winning ways in 2026 will be crucial for their chances of landing prospects in the 2027 class.
Fennell has produced as a running back and a wide receiver in high school. When it comes to the Seminoles, running backs coach Kam Martin is the primary person involved in recruiting him. The newly appointed headman in the room has caught the eye of Fennell so far.
"It has been great. He's been 100% with me," said Fennell. "Straightforward on everything.
