The FSU softball team has completed its sweep of the Syracuse Orange, winning 11-7 on Sunday.

The No. 11 Florida State Seminoles softball team beat the Syracuse Orange 11-7 on Sunday at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee, Florida, completing the series sweep. FSU improved to 25-4 overall and 3-0 in ACC play with the win, their 14 in a row.

FSU held on to earn the win at the end. They took a 7-0 lead, but Syracuse scored six runs in the fourth to make it a one-run game. Bella Dimitrijevic had not allowed a hit prior to the inning, but was pulled after three singles and a walk drove in one run and loaded the bases with two outs.

Marlee Gaskell relieved her and walked the first batter she faced before allowing a grand slam, making it a 7-6 game. She got the next batter to end the inning. Jazzy Francik pitched the final three innings.

FSU's offense got back to work in the fifth and provided some breathing room. Anna Hinde started it with a single before she was replaced by Madi Frey as a pinch-runner. She got to third on an error, allowing Makenna Sturgis to reach.
