The Best Signings In 2026 NFL Free Agency RB Kenneth Walker - Kansas City Chiefs Fresh off a Super Bowl MVP performance, Walker is joining a Kansas City team that needs to rely on the running game heavily during the early going of next season with quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ Week 1 status murky after tearing his ACL and LCL last season.
Walker’s contract is reportedly for three years and $43. 1 million, a modest investment considering he was greatly responsible for Seattle’s Super Bowl throttling of the New England Patriots. Walker rushed for 1,027 yards last season with five touchdowns along with 31 receptions for 282 yards.
Walker’s postseason was all the more incredible, rushing for 313 yards and four touchdowns in three games while hauling in nine receptions for 105 yards. Walker is still just 25 years old, really hitting his stride, and could have a monster season with the Chiefs. S Kevin Byard - New England Patriots The Patriots’ secondary didn’t fare well against the Seahawks in the Super Bowl and they were proactive and landed Byard, who was considered the best safety in free agency.
