Yahoo Sports

Here’s a look at what the national media is thinking for Clemson basketball on Selection Sunday for the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

Selection Sunday has arrived, and both Clemson basketball programs are waiting to learn where their postseason journeys will begin. The Clemson men’s team will discover its NCAA Tournament destination during the Selection Sunday show airing at 6 p. m.

on CBS. Later in the evening, the Clemson women will also learn their postseason placement when the women’s bracket is revealed at 8 p. m.

on ESPN. For Brad Brownell’s team, the expectation is clear: Clemson appears firmly on track to be part of this year’s NCAA Tournament field. The Tigers enter Selection Sunday with a 24-10 record and have consistently appeared in recent bracket projections.

Multiple outlets currently project Clemson as an 8-seed, setting up what could be a challenging path once the tournament begins. ESPN’s latest projection places Clemson in the West Region as an 8-seed matched up against Villanova in a first-round game in Tampa, Florida. That same pod would also include top-seeded Florida along with the winner of a First Four matchup between Kennesaw State and Prairie View.
