Raiders Target Mendoza for Super Bowl Chances
Joe Flacco is still out there in free agency, and the veteran quarterback isn’t being quiet about what he wants. Heading into his 19th NFL season, Flacco is looking for a spot where he can at least push for a starting role. A return to Cincinnati does not seem likely after the Bengals brought in Josh Johnson, basically shutting that door.
But teams needing a steady hand at quarterback might still find something to like in what Flacco brings. He has spent 18 seasons in the league, with his best years coming with the Baltimore Ravens. Since getting dealt to Denver back in 2019, though, he is bounced around a bit.

Speaking of Vegas, I’m told that that is an option for him, that they would have interest in potentially bringing him along, as a backup/bridge, if Fernando Mendoza needs to sit a little bit, assuming they draft him, which they will,” Fowler said on SportsCenter .
