While the status of Carson Benge in the Opening Day lineup is awaiting confirmation, there's a bigger star who's facing some uncertainty for a role on Opening Day. Fortunately, things are trending in the right direction. As Anthony DiComo of MLB.

com reports, the Mets got some great news as Francisco Lindor, coming off hamate bone surgery, is in the Mets lineup for the first time, as his recovery has gone well thus far. "His first Grapefruit League action since surgery.

" Getting Lindor back is huge for the Mets. This hamate bone injury could've held him out of the beginning of the year, though he likely wouldn't have missed much time. However, based on Lindor being in the lineup on March 15th, with 11 days to go until Opening Day against the Pittsburgh Pirates , the Mets' superstar appears to be progressing nicely to earn a chance to start for the Mets at the beginning of the year.
