DFB Chief Predicts "Terrible" Match-up for Bayern Munich

DFB head of referees Knut Kircher spoke to Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ) and addressed Harry Kane’s disallowed goal, which was questionable.

“That was indeed tricky. Christian Dingert rightly reviewed the scene and concluded that Kane had increased the contact area. Therefore, he decided it was a handball,” Kircher said.

As for Díaz’s red card, Kircher acknowledged that a mistake was made. “The second yellow card for Díaz was unfortunately incorrect, even though it looked like a dive from the referee’s point of view. Christian Dingert rightly admitted the wrong assessment,” Kircher stated.

Finally, Kircher was asked about the statement by Uli Hoeneß that it was the worst refereeing performance he had witness in the Bundesliga. Kircher did not confirm, nor deny it. “Uli Hoeneß has watched so many Bundesliga matches.
