An analyst has labeled a New York Giants edge rusher as a trade candidate and the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are three teams that could put in a call.

Giants trade candidate could draw interest from Patriots, Seahawks and 49ers originally appeared on The Sporting News . Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here . The New York Giants are one of the few teams in the NFL that entered the offseason without a need along the edge.

That's because New York has a solid trio at the position in Brian Burns, Abdul Carter and Kayvon Thibodeaux. However, FanSided's Wynston Wilcox thinks that could change, as he labeled Thibodeaux as a trade candidate after the first wave of free agency. "Thibodeaux might be a move closer to the start of the season, especially after the NFL Draft.

He hasnโ€™t quite panned out to be the player the Giants hoped. With that, they could move off of him. Thereโ€™s more than enough teams that could take flier on him, which is why itโ€™s realistic he gets moved," he said.

Thibodeaux has been the center of trade rumors this offseason, and it's not hard to see why. The Oregon product has been a disappointment during his career, both because of injury and ineffectiveness when on the field. He's also entering the final year of his rookie contract and his future with Big Blue is looking bleak.
