Jairzinho Rozenstruik is off the legal hook.

Former UFC heavyweight contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik no longer faces charges stemming from a January arrest. The case involving Rozenstruik was closed March 6 after the Broward County (Fla. ) district attorney's office elected not to pursue charges.

TMZ Sports was first to report the news Saturday. Rozenstruik, 37, faced a third-degree felony count of false imprisonment and a first-degree misdemeanor count of battery. However, the alleged victim in the case, who later identified herself as Rozenstruik's wife, filed a request for charges and a protection order to be dropped in late January.

"We have 1 child together, who's 4 years old, we do reside together as a family, with no issues," the letter read. "He's in fact an incredible amazing father and husband. I'm not in fear of my life, I'm not in any danger at all.

I will (ask) that this court drops all of the charges against Mr. Rozenstruik and/or to at least allow him to have non-violent contact between myself and him. " It appears the district attorney's office obliged her request.
