The Penn State women's hockey team will play in its first NCAA Women's Frozen Four after a shutout of UConn in the regional final. What's next?

For the first time in program history, the Penn State women's hockey team will be competing in the NCAA Women's Frozen Four. The Penn State women's hockey team punched its ticket to the Frozen Four with a 3-0 victory on home ice against UConn on Saturday. Penn State jumped to an early lead with a goal in the opening minutes from freshman Matilde Fantin in the first period.

Penn State clung to a 1-0 lead going into the third period before Tessa Janecke added to the lead with a goal for a little breathing room. Abby Stonehouse made it a 3-0 lead later in the third period with an empty-net goal, and goaltender Katie DeSa stopped all 36 shots from UConn to help Penn State make some program history.
