Wildcats Triumph in Epic Championship Final!
We’ll soon learn what the NCAA Tournament brackets look like
Happy Selection Sunday, everyone! Today, Kentucky Basketball will learn its fate for the men and women’s NCAA Tournaments. We have a pretty good idea of where Kentucky will be seeded in each tournament, but their opponents and where they’ll be playing remain up in the air.
On the men’s side, it is generally believed Mark Pope’s squad will enter the tournament as a 7-seed. All the major projections have Kentucky as a 7-seed. Popular 10-seed projections include NC State, Santa Clara, and UCF – where former Kentucky Wildcat Jordan Burks is the third-leading scorer.
Several projections have Kentucky playing in the West region. On the women’s side, the Wildcats are likely to land as a 5-seed. We learned yesterday that Kentucky is not among the top 16, but the Wildcats were in contention to break through, so a 5-seed is most likely.
Landing in that top 16 is big because of the ability to host the first two rounds, so Kentucky will be hitting the road for the NCAA Tournament. The men’s bracket reveal takes place at 6 p. m.
