The Commanders continue to target speed at wide receiver.

The eyes of the NFL world were in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday, when the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets held their pro day. While Georgia Tech doesn't have any top-of-the-board prospects, it does have several players who could make an impact at the next level. Quarterback Haynes King, wide receiver Eric Rivers, and offensive lineman Keylan Rutledge were among the participants who earned rave reviews from NFL scouts.

The Washington Commanders were among the teams interested in Rivers, specifically, says draft analyst Tony Pauline of Essentially Sports. Receiver Eric Rivers, who timed 4. 35 seconds in the 40 at the combine, sat on that mark and, more importantly, practiced to that speed during drills.

Teams complimented Rivers for his speed, explosion, and the fact that he caught everything during pro day. They also commented that Rivers has really helped himself in the predraft process. He met with theย  Washington Commanders , Atlanta Falcons,ย New Orleans Saints, and Jacksonville Jaguars over the past two days.

Rivers is a 5-foot-10, 176-pound prospect who ran the 40-yard dash in 4. 35 seconds at the 2026 NFL combine. Rivers posted the second-highest speed in the NFL combine's receiver gauntlet drill.
