Brandon Valley Seizes Crown With Final-Second Thrall Over Brandon Lake!
RAPID CITY, S. D. (KELO) — No.
2 seed O’Gorman completed the three-peat and the spoiling of No. 1 Brandon Valley’s undefeated season with a 59-53 win on Saturday night. The Knights led for the near majority of the game with Brandon Valley claiming a brief 26-25 advantage in the second quarter.
Sydney Terveen led all scoring with 33 points and six rebounds for O’Gorman. Gracie Salters finished with a double-double, 18 points and 15 rebounds. The Knights held Alyvia Padgett to 13 points and six rebounds after she averaged 36 and 32 points in her previous two games.
Both teams finished the season 23-1, with each team’s only loss coming against the other in the first and final games of the season. This three-peat marks the first in Class ‘AA’ since 2001 when Roosevelt completed five straight title victories. Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
