The Rams lost the series opener Friday night, in a high-scoring 9-8 thriller.
In game one of Saturday’s doubleheader, the Rams never stood a chance. The Comets led 10-0 after three innings and never looked back, winning 16-5. In game two, the Rams bounced back.
Angelo State broke a scoreless contest in the bottom of the third inning via Payton Bush’s fielder’s choice. Bush reached first safely as the Comets first baseman couldn’t field the ball cleanly. Two runs scored on the wild play, giving the Rams a 2-0 lead.
