Boston Celtics two-way rookie guard Max Shulga will reportedly be upgraded to a standard two-year contract, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. Shulga signed a two-way contract after the Celtics selected him with the 57th overall pick last year in the NBA draft out of VCU. He has logged only four appearances this season with the Celtics, totaling just six minutes for coach Joe Mazzulla.
The Celtics are also expected to sign center Charles Bassey to a 10-day contract on Sunday to reach the roster minimum of 14 players. They will need to sign Bassey or another player for the remainder of the season once that contract is completed. The Boston Celtics are signing two-way Max Shulga on a standard two-year contract, sources tell ESPN.
