The Tennessee Titans and wide receiver Calvin Ridley have agreed to restructure his contract ahead of the 2026 season.

The Tennessee Titans did make some news on what has been a quiet Saturday, reaching an agreement with veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley to restructure his contract. While no specific details on the change have been released, the move likely secures his spot for 2026. For weeks, many had speculated that Ridley would likely be in a similar position to cornerback Lโ€™Jarius Sneed, who was released on Friday to open up salary cap space, although there were no indications coming from the organization that this was in the cards.

If anything, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who has coached Ridley in the past, sounded optimistic that the veteran would be in place this season. Source: The Titans and WR Calvin Ridley have agreed to a restructured contract to keep him in Tennessee for the 2026 season. pic.

The offensive system coordinated by Brian Callahan that he played in was not productive for any receiver, and he did manage a solid 2024 campaign, pulling in 64 passes for 1,017 yards and four touchdowns, while adding another 55 rushing yards and a touchdown catching passes from Will Levis and Mason Rudolph.

Even in 2025, Ridley appeared to be turning the corner on his early-season frustrations when his season was cut short by injury, with his best game of the season against the Arizona Cardinals, the last full game before breaking his leg on the first play against the Houston Texans. Now being reunited with Daboll and the addition of Wanโ€™dale Robinson, combined with the growth from Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike, Ridley could be in a position to make a larger impact than at any point in his Titans tenure and at a lower price by giving Cam Ward a target that he is comfortable throwing to. There will likely be detractors of this restructure who would have rather watched Ridley go the way of Sneed, but the two players and the situation are completely different, and in this case, keeping Ridley in the fold for at least one more season at a reduced salary makes some sense.
