ATLANTIC CITY − Delbarton remains in a league of its own. The state’s top-ranked wrestling team finished with the most state champions and the unofficial team title on March 14 at the 93rd NJSIAA Championships at Boardwalk Hall. The Morristown school finished with a state-best three champions, going 3 for 7 in title bouts.

Seniors Jayden James and Carl Betz, and junior Cameron Sontz captured individual state titles as the Green Wave dominated the annual three-day event. For Sontz (120), it was his third state title, while James (165) secured. Betz (190), a senior, nailed down his first.

Juniors Gabe Logan (175) and Ryan DeGeorge (144), and sophomores Tommy Marchetti (126) and Nick Schwartz (150) took second in their weight classes. James (36-0), a four-time medalist and three-time finalist, was the first of the three to celebrate a title. The top seed pinned Ryan Gavrish of St.
