Dallas doesn't have another viable starter at linebacker to pair with DeMarvion Overshown. That is why CBS Sports' Jordan Dajani believes former New York Giants starting linebacker Bobby Okereke is a perfect fit with the Cowboys. "Bobby Okereke could stay in the NFC East, as the Dallas Cowboys have a need at inside linebacker," Dajani said.

"The former team captain was a consistent contributor that new Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker got a good look at twice a year. Let's send him to Dallas. " Okereke started 46 games over three seasons for New York before being released this offseason .

The 29-year-old started all 17 games in 2025, tallying two interceptions, 143 tackles, and allowing a 91. 4 passer rating when targeted. Though Okereke's run defense left a lot to be desired this past season, he's usually solid in that area.
