And now, the No. 10 Evansville Purple Aces women’s basketball team find themselves one win away from the NCAA Tournament after defeating No. 3 Illinois State in overtime, 75-70, of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament Saturday, March 14.
This will be the Aces’ first conference championship appearance since 2009 when they won four games in four days to win the MVC tournament. It was also the year Evansville last made the NCAA Tournament. Evansville (10-24) will face No.
1 Murray State (30-3) on Sunday, March 15 at 1 p. m. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN2.
