As the recruiting calendar reached mid-March, eight of the nation’s 5-star recruits in the Rivals Industry Ranking have already made their commitment. The latest came on Saturday, as five-star San Diego (Calif. ) Mater Dei Catholic athlete Honor Fa’alave-Johnson made his decision to stay home and go to USC.

With him off the board, nearly half the five-stars in the class are pledged to a school, though once the ranking fully expands to 32 this summer, that percentage will shrink significantly.
