Brown had just been released by the Arizona Cardinals on March 12th . Former #AZCardinals G Evan Brown, who was released late this week, lands quickly with the #Texans on a 1-year deal for up to $3. 5M, per The Insiders.

com/CUjxQO65Aq — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 14, 2026 Brown, 29, was an undrafted center out of SMU that spent time as a backup lineman on the Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Lions from 2019 to 2021, where he became Detroit’s starting center after Frank Ragnow’s season-ending injury . Brown stepped in with low expectations and performed well above them, finishing that season as one of PFF’s highest graded centers in pass-blocking, but under the average mark in run-blocking. Since then, Brown has started at RG for the Lions, then C again for the Seattle Seahawks, and then moved to the LG spot for the Arizona Cardinals for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
