Raiders' Rookie Wide Receiver Seeks Majestic Contract after Signing Release
The New York Giants, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears all need help at the cornerback position and they will likely at least consider signing a recently released Tennessee Titans defender who was cut from his $76 million deal.
Giants, Packers and Bears could have interest in Titans releasing $76 million starter originally appeared on The Sporting News . Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here . Three teams that should still be looking for cornerback help are the New York Giants , Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears .
New York lost Cor'Dale Flott in free agency to the Tennessee Titans and their only semblance of a significant signing at the position has been Greg Newsome, who is hardly a lock to fill Flott's shoes. In Green Bay, the Packers cut ties with Nate Hobbs and brought in Benjamin St-Juste, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to add more competition at the position. As for the Bears, they've lost Nashon Wright in free agency after he had a breakout year in 2025.
Adding competition for Tyrique Stevenson on the boundary should be one of Chicago's top remaining priorities. Knowing their respective needs at the position, the Bears, Giants and Packers could all have their eye on recently released former Tennessee Titans cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, who was cut loose with two years left on his $76 million deal. The trade for Sneed with the Kansas City Chiefs and the contract the Titans signed him to turned out to be total disasters, as the veteran only played 12 games.
Once considered one of the elite cornerbacks in the NFL, Pro Football Focus was not kind to Sneed when he was on the field, as he finished with coverage grades of 36. 8 and 49. 5 in his two campaigns in Nashville.
