Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts provided an update on utility player Hyeseong Kim, who is rejoining the team after Team Koreaโs elimination. Kim, along with former Dodger Hyun-Jin Ryu, was part of the Korean team that ended up mercy-ruled by the Dominican Republic. The Dominicans have dominated the World Baseball Classic throughout, showing high levels of energy and excitement, mixed with big home runs.
Koreaโs appearance in the quarterfinals was already impressive, given that their loss to Chinese Taipei had left them on the ropes. Kim struggled during the tournament, walking just twice and going 1-for-12, his only hit being a home run.
