Speculation had grown that Tennessee could release Ridley as a salary-cap casualty. Instead, the Titans chose to keep him and convert 2027 cash into 2026 cap space. The exact amount of cap space the move creates has not yet been made public.

Ridley’s presence could also influence how the Titans approach the NFL Draft in April. The Atlanta Falcons selected Ridley in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he has experienced an eventful career since entering the league. While his on-field production has been excellent, many fans still remember his 2022 suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy.
