Score Shocker! Michigan's Lendeborg Converts Game-Saving Shot Against Wisconsin
The Michigan men's basketball team is playing for a second straight Big Ten Tournament title, thanks to some late-game heroics from Yaxel Lendeborg. Lendeborg's 3-pointer with 0. 4 seconds remaining gave top-seeded Michigan a 68-65 victory over Wisconsin in Saturday's Big Ten Tournament semifinals at United Center in Chicago.
Michigan will face either No. 6 seed UCLA or No. 7 seed Purdue in Sunday's championship.
The Wolverines (31-2) and Badgers (24-10) traded 3-pointers in the final minute, with Nick Boyd knotting the game at 65 with a 26-footer with 29 seconds left. That set up Lendeborg's winner, which came from a pass from Elliot Cadeau, who took to the dribble to the baseline in front of the Michigan bench before kicking it out to Lendeborg, who drained the 3-pointer from 24 feet. YAXEL GIVES MICHIGAN THE LEAD IN THE FINAL SECOND!
