Instead, the visitors dictated the play, with Cordes firing over the crossbar from distance, for Austria's best opportunity in an otherwise uneventful second half.

Since our team couldn't mount a late attacking salvo, we had to accept defeat in our 2026 home opener. Views I am so proud as that was a truly even match! We showed against the best team in Austria that we are competitive.
